O Root of Jesse,
Which stands for an ensign of the people,
before Whom kings shall keep silence,
Whom the Gentiles shall beseech:
come and deliver us, and tarry not.
(cf. Isaiah 11:10)
And there shall come forth a rod out of the root of Jesse,
and a flower shall rise up out of his root.
In that day the branch of the Lord
shall be beautiful and glorious.
The Lord will make her desert as a place of pleasure,
and her wilderness as the garden of the Lord.
And the glory of the Lord
shall be revealed.
The Lord our King who is to come!
O hasten to adore Him!
